Members of the Civil Guard arrested, in Torrevieja, three women that are accused of buying dozens of casino chips, with cloned credit cards, for the amount of 1,500 euros. The detentions are related to an organized group that has also acted in casinos of Santander, San Sebastian and Logrono.
According to the information given by the Command of Alicante, the agents arrested a 19-year-old woman last Thursday, identified as M-E-Z, who was carrying a fake passport from Malaysia and two cloned credit cards.
After that, on Friday 28th, L.L.C., 38 years old, was detained, and after that C.H., 36 years old, all of them were Chinese women.
The modus operandi of this organized Chinese group, apparently settled in Madrid, consisted in capturing a person with gambling debts and Chinese origin in a casino of the capital, they took his documentation and charged an interest of 50 euros per every day that passed without the debt being paid, or they offered the person the option of not charging the interests if they agreed to buy chips with stolen credit cards.
Then, the victim would buy chips for between 1,500 and 1,600 euros, in separate extractions, but only played little amounts of money and gave the chips to the rest of the members of the band, who divided them and changed them into money on their way out of the casino.
