The company started to pay compensations to its former employees
The ex president of Bet On Sports, David Carruthers, was let free after having paid the bail of a million dollars. The executive is going to have to wear an electric device to track him down and stay always in his house, except for special occasions, until his case finishes. He was released after being under arrest for almost a month, charged with fraud.
Carruthers will have to remain in the St. Louis area and according to the terms of the bail, he will have to live in a hotel in the suburbs of Clayton. The executive will not be allowed to leave the hotel except to declare in front of the Court, to have meetings with his lawyers or for a medical emergency.
On the other hand, the company has initiated the payment of the compensations to ex employees, after they closed last week. Francisco Conejo, lawyer of the sportsbook, said that they have enough money to cancel the debts with all the fired people, according to law.
The human resources office of BoS assures that most of the people have already found another job, because of the coordination with other companies who were interested in absorbing its people.
