Spanish government recognizes complexity of the online gambling
The betting on Internet normative is being studied
The situation of the bets through Internet in Spain is in the study faze “in view of the complexity that presents the matter of the recent development of the regulatory normative and of the autonomous competitions in the matter”, according to an answer from the Government.

The economy spokesman from the Popular Group in the Congress, Vicente Martinez-Pujalte, had introduced a question for the Government about the regulation of the commercial activity based on the commercialization and sales of online bets.

In response, the Government points out that the chance games originated in Spain are regulated by the Law of Services of the Information Society and the Electronic Commerce, and are subject to the obligations of identification and transparency, as well as the electronic hire normative.

They also added that, from the point of view of the current legislation, the only state games and bets are commercialized by Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, and the National Organization of Blinds, and the unauthorized activities are forbidden although some Autonomous Communities are trying to regularize this matter.
