Legality of online gambling in the United States is not clear
William Hill will not take bets from American clients
The bet house William Hill will stop making online betting business within the United States, because they are afraid that the company becomes the target of the authorities of the country.

William Hill wants a clarification on the “reach and application of the state and federal gambling laws”, after the arrests of David Carruthers, from BetOnSports, and the director of Sportingbet, Peter Dicks.

Louisiana police, where Dick faces charges for breaking the morality laws of the state, have emitted arrest orders for other three directors of Sportingbet and it is thought that they have an even larger black list. Andy McIver, financial director of Sportingbet, told Reuters that he thinks he is in the list.

Two of the directors of World Gaming have abandoned their positions in order to avoid the possible charges because of the severe measures that the country is taking against the online gambling companies.
