18.7% of Internet visits with cells are to gambling sites
Internet users who connect with their cellular phones visit more sites than those who connect through the PC or through other means. This was the result of an investigation made by XiTi Monitor, which was elaborated during the last week of October.
According to the mentioned investigation, 9.1 sites are visited from cells and 6.3 from other terminals. However, in spite of the fact that more sites are visited from cellular phones, the time they spend in each web site is briefer. They spend about two minutes and 53 seconds, while people who connect from computers spend five minutes and 3 seconds.
Another result from the study is that 96.8% of Internet visits from cellular phones are concentrated mainly on three big subjects: current affairs and media (46.4%), new technologies (31.7%) and sports, videogames and gambling (18.7%).
The cell phone brands that are most used to connect to the Internet are Samsung with 44%, and Sagem and Nokia have the second and third place. These three brands concentrate 75% of the Internet visits from cellular phones.
