According to the documents being discussed by the premiers last Wednesday, Germany’s federal states plan to ban Internet Gambling.
Germany is ignoring the European Commission and the entity’s intention to open Europe’s gambling market to private competitors and trying to protect its lucrative monopoly as sole lottery operators.
The already existing companies, such as Tipp24 and Fluxx will be granted one year to relocate their facilities in a “generous” transition period.
Three German states already banned Internet gambling earlier this year.
