Blackjack a fair bet to add to PartyGaming's fortunes
Annual results at the online gaming PartyGaming are likely to beat expectations
Annual results at the online gaming giant PartyGaming are likely to beat expectations after the successful launch of new games such as blackjack.
The operator of the PartyPoker website, the world's biggest online poker room, said about 40 per cent of its poker players were now also playing other recently introduced games.
It noted in an update for the two months to November 30 that its casino business experienced a "marked uplift" after the introduction of blackjack in October.
PartyGaming, which starred in London's biggest flotation since the dotcom boom this summer, said it had achieved average new player sign-ups of 2455 per day to PartyPoker.com, with average daily gross poker revenues up 14 per cent versus the third-quarter as a whole.
Chief executive Richard Segal said: "We are delighted with the results."
