The General Secretary of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), Decio de Mari, said that the competition Regulation does not prohibit a bet house to handle a professional soccer team that is why Caliente will operate from now the Club “Tijuana Caliente”, from the first division.
The Caliente group will operate the Tijuana Caliente team, from Division A. “The First A is in the process of certification that will conclude in October, and then it will be notified which team has the right to ascend and which one has not, according to the documentation”, said the General Secretary of the FMF.
He also explained that the Tijuana Caliente team is an affiliate of the Qerétaro Club and, therefore, is the owner and the one that participates as a team partner of the ascending circuit of the Caliente group.
On the other hand, the president of Gallos Blancos, Alex Bulle expressed: “I have the franchise for a year and I don’t know how they handle it (Caliente Group)”. However he said that the franchise was loaned through a contract “of a company that is called Esposa, and its representative is Alberto Murguia”, and he explained that in that contract there is no clause for subletting the franchise.
